Krippled Herring
Size 3
Another favourite of the guides. The Krippled Herring with a 5-8" Herring, Sardine or Shiner is a great bait for Lake Trout. Many fisherman favour this combination. It is a deadly combination.

Rods: Two (2) rods are necessary. One medium for Brook Trout and Walleyes and the other Medium Heavy for Northern and Lake Trout
Reels: Two (2) reels should be taken. One outfitted with at least 10-lb. Monofilament line for Brook Trout and Walleye and the other with a 20-lb monofilament or braided line for Northern and Lake Trout.
Note: The above list is just an example of what has been successful in the past and what the local guides recommend. In no way do we suggest that using other lures and spoons will not be successful.
